On a cloudy day in Belfast the entire city practically bustled with excitement at prospect pf the 12th MCBMUN and not even the threat of rain could dampen our spirits.
This year at MUN, the female delegates seem to like to show a little bit of leg. English girls do know how to wear a skirt.
“WE THE PEOPLES OF THE UNITED NATIONS ARE DETERMINED”
Those are powerful words. To experienced MUNers among us they will be familiar. To others they will be new. For all of us they should be humbling, as they are the basis on which for the past sixty-four years the United Nations has met.
On Saturday morning, Dr. Gallagher’s briefing welcomed all delegates to the real start of MUN MCB 08. Following was possibly the most frequent use of metaphors in a single speech that I have heard in the last week‐ the Secretary General Aimee Muirhead’s stirring speech. Not that I appreciated being likened to garlic.
